A Path Not Taken

Imagine if NASA had never existed: no Apollo, no Saturn V, no Shuttle. But people still discovered the value of space: communication satellites, global positioning systems, space stations. How would our government support such an emerging technology sector? The toolbox of financial incentives used to support other emerging sectors has rarely been used to support the space sector. The Foundation is now working to change that by advocate for a true all of government approach to the emerging commercial space sector.
